Speaking at one-day training and financial empowerment workshop for widows and wives of service personnel at Lungi Barracks Abuja themed Renewed Hope for Families of Armed Forces Through Entrepreneurship, Musa said few weeks ago he mentioned soldiers receiving N100,000 which generated reactions.
“When I was Chief of Defence Staff, soldiers were receiving N49,000. About two years ago I pushed for increase to N100,000 and that was achieved. We are making further efforts to increase it again. We know our President is listening father who understands sacrifices our troops are making,” Musa said, expressing confidence Tinubu will announce another increase soon.
He said strong military is built not only on capable personnel and modern equipment but on stable economically secure families, noting spouses’ resilience gives troops confidence to focus on operational responsibilities.
