Legal Maneuvering in Ongoing Custody Dispute

The legal battle between former spouses Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry has intensified, with Martinez filing court documents to prevent his ex-wife’s daughter, Nahla Aubry, from providing testimony in their ongoing custody dispute. The case centers on custody arrangements regarding their 13-year-old son, Maceo.

Martinez Objects to Nahla Aubry’s Involvement

In documents obtained by Us Weekly, the 60-year-old French actor argued that Nahla Aubry, whom Berry shares with model Gabriel Aubry, lacks relevant information regarding the current litigation. Martinez stated, “Ms. Aubry does not have any significant bearing on this case,” and further claimed that the 18-year-old is “unquestionably biased.” He asserted that it is inappropriate for Berry to involve her daughter in the legal proceedings.

This objection follows a recent declaration from Nahla Aubry, who defended the actress, describing her as a “loving and devoted parent.” In her statement, the teen explicitly denied witnessing any physical abuse, stating she had never seen Berry “hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse Maceo in any way.”

Request for Maceo to Testify

While seeking to exclude Nahla, Martinez is simultaneously pushing for his son, Maceo, to testify. Martinez contends that it is in the 13-year-old’s best interest to “address the court” regarding allegations that his mother physically abused him. “I believe that our son’s testimony will be the key to the Court learning the full truth about the events that occurred on September 26th,” Martinez stated in the filings.

The custody dispute stems from a temporary restraining order filed by Martinez last month, in which he alleged that Berry physically abused their son. Berry has vehemently denied these accusations. Following the initial filing, a court granted Martinez primary custody of Maceo, limiting Berry to daytime visits and requiring her to maintain a distance from her ex-husband.
