A Larger Holiday Offering
Sam’s Club has announced the launch of its most extensive Thanksgiving meal package to date. The Walmart-owned membership retailer is positioning the bundle as a value-driven solution for families facing the continued pressure of food inflation. According to reports by Fox Business, the 2026 meal is designed to feed 16 people, with a total cost that keeps the price under $10 per person.
Meal Contents and Customization
The expanded holiday spread includes 11 distinct items, an increase from the nine offerings provided in the previous year. The menu features a hickory smoked turkey, a boneless carver ham, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, two packages of green beans with dried cranberries and almonds, two packages of macaroni and cheese, sweet corn with garlic butter, a cranberry crunch salad, yeast dinner rolls, a charcuterie tray, and two 12-inch pumpkin pies.
Myron Frazier, Chief Merchandising Officer at Sam’s Club, noted that the company spent approximately 12 months developing the meal based on member feedback. The retailer emphasized that the meal is designed for preparation within two hours in a standard kitchen equipped with one oven and two racks. Members have the flexibility to purchase the full spread or customize their orders by adding or removing specific items.
Availability and Economic Context
The Thanksgiving meal will be available for purchase both in-club and online starting October 28. While the company aims to maintain the under-$10 price point, it noted that final costs may fluctuate slightly as several items are sold by weight. The initiative arrives as consumers continue to monitor food prices, which the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported are up 2.5% compared to the previous year as of September.
