The Executive Chairman of Ukum Local Government Council, Hon. Jonathan Modi, today received the Army Headquarters Committee on the Implementation of Formation and Unit in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The committee was led by General Moses Gara and was received by the council chairman as part of ongoing efforts towards strengthening the presence and operational capacity of the Nigerian Army in the area.
The engagement is expected to further enhance collaboration between the local government authorities and the military, particularly in addressing security concerns and promoting peace and stability across Ukum Local Government Area.
Hon. Jonathan Modi welcomed the delegation and expressed his readiness to support initiatives aimed at improving security and protecting the lives and property of residents within the local government.
The visit underscores the importance of stronger cooperation between security agencies and local authorities in tackling security challenges and creating a safer environment for communities in Ukum and surrounding areas.
